How tuition works

What sets tuition

Tuition depends on the class, the age group and how many classes a week a dancer takes. Most dancers take one or two classes a week, each forty-five minutes to an hour. Our figures are on the registration page, and we are glad to talk them through by phone, in English or in Spanish.

Registration

A registration charge covers the studio's file for your dancer and the studio's insurance. It is due when you register for your first session.

Billing

Tuition is billed monthly, by autopay, or by the session if you would rather pay once. Showcase night has its own small charge, billed in the spring.

Siblings

A second dancer from the same family is handled differently from the first. Ask us when you register, and we will tell you how.

Missed classes and make-ups

A missed class can be made up in another class of the same age group within the same session. Message the studio and we will find a night that works.

Uniforms, costumes and other costs

There are few extras here. We hold a showcase night instead of a recital, so there are no costumes to order, no hall to rent and no tickets for guests. Showcase night has one small charge for the room, the sound and the photos on the wall. Dancers wear clean sneakers and class clothes they already own, and jazz dancers need jazz shoes, bought by the family. We don't enter competitions, so there are no entry charges or travel. We don't print figures here; the registration page has them.

Withdrawing

We ask for a month's notice before a dancer leaves, so the place can go to someone on the waitlist. A showcase night charge already billed is still due.
