Our choice
A showcase night instead of a recital
A recital means costumes, a rented hall and a long rehearsal day. We chose something smaller. Once a year, on a Friday in May, families come into Studio A, each class shares the routine it has been building, and the night ends with everyone on the floor together.
This choice shapes the whole year: classes work on a routine from the first week, and dancers wear what they wear to class.
One routine for each class
Dancers in their own class clothes
Families watch from the studio floor
A group dance to close

The night
How the night goes
- 01
Step 1: Families arrive
The doors to Studio A open half an hour before the first class. Families sit along the walls and on the floor.
- 02
Step 2: Each class shares a routine
One class at a time shows the routine it has built since the start of the session. Every dancer dances.
- 03
Step 3: Everyone dances
The last song is for the whole room, dancers, siblings and grown-ups together.
- 04
Step 4: Photos and video
Families may photograph and film their own dancer from the floor, without flash.
